TINERARY
Day 01: Transfer in Lima Welcome at Lima’s airport and transfer to your hotel. Free morning to relax and acclimatize. After having lunch in your hotel, you will meet your guide and trained assistant. Orientation meeting at the hotel.
Day 02: Lima City Tour/Paracas
We’ll visit Lima’s
historic area, including Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, the
main square and surrounding monuments such as the Presidential Palace,
the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, the convent of San Francisco and
the Moorish-style houses and balconies along Lima’s old streets. The
visit ends in the Gold Museum, located on the other side of the City.
Return to hotel.
DAY 3: BALLESTAS ISLAND/ NAZCA Early start towards the Bay of Chaco to board our boat and enjoy the attractions offered to us at Las Islas Ballestas as it is the Candelabrum, a diversity of birds, sea lions, etc.. We will continue to travel in a tourist transport to the city of Nazca, where we’ll overflight the Nazca Lines and observe some of the gigantic figures engraved on the sand. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight.

DAY 4: NAZCA/ AREQUIPA / MUMMY JUANITA Arrival at Arequipa. In the afternoon we will visit the museum Andean shrines, there is a special frozen chamber inside the Lady of Ampato or Momia Juanita (Juanita’s Mummy) remarkably preserved, there you may see a video of how it was and where she was discovered and what rituals were developed in those days, The visit is guided. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 5: CITY TOUR / CHIVAY (9:00 AM) (HALD DAY) Visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, The Cathedral and Plaza de Armas, the Colonial district of Yanahuara, the Church and Mirador, Mirador del Carmen high viewpoint of the countryside and Misti volcano, Chachani and Pichu Pichu white peaks, typical pre-Inca terraces still cultivated, and Chilean Valley, Sabandía mill and the Paucarpata neighbourhood. Arequipa / Chivay: the ride takes 4 hours on a paved road. Behind the snowy Chachani, pampas cañahua, the Aguada Blanca national reserve, Vicuñas in the wild, typical high Andean landscape, typical Andean grass (ichu), shrubs such as Tola, Ccapo or Yareta. Pampas de Tocra. Befuddles, some small ponds, birds such as the Kara-Kara, andean hawk, Black Ibis, or Guallatas an Andean geese, ducks, some flamingos, vizcachas (wild rabbit). Continuing along the route Patapampa, Mirador de los Volcanes, Altitude 4.800 metres viewpoint of the white peaks Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca). Mirador del Valle Del Colca. Arrive to Chivay. Transfer to Hotel.
DAY 6: CHIVAY / CRUZ DEL CONDOR / AREQUIPA Early morning at 06:30am. We’ll start through the left Colca river bank until Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, depth 1200 m approx. The majestic flight of the Condor, visiting the typical villages of Yanque and Maca. Stone mock up", pre Inca tombs pendants, beautiful costumes of each village, the incredible number of Inca terraces still cultivated with crops such as the andean potatoes, corn, quinua. Return to Arequipa City. Overnight in the Hotel.

DAY 7: AREQUIPA/ PUNO Trip to Puno, with a brief visit to the Chullpas of Sillustani where we’ll appreciate the Chullpas surrounded by a beautiful landscape, then we’ll continue with our trip to Puno. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 8: PUNO/ TAQUILE FLOATING ISLAND 20 minutes from the city of Puno by boat. The inhabitants of these islands have organized themselves as the Uros-Chulluni Community and although they still hunt and fish, they manage tourist directed activities in their territory. Their livelihood is based on the benefits of a unique plant The Totora reed. They use it to build their homes, boats and even the floating islands they live on, periodically adding new layers of reeds. Totora reed is a source of food for man and animals, a refuge for their hunting quarry and a vital tool for everyday activity. About 35 km ( 4 hours ) from the city of Puno by boat, this island is unique because They are farmers, fishermen and weavers. Taquile is 6 km to 7 km long and has several Hills and many archeological ruins. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of the people of Taquile is their solid sense of community, all the people offer rooms and board to visitors in their owns homes.
ITINERARY We pick your up to your hotel and departure us at the Harbor in a motorized boat after 40 minutes trip, we arrive to the Isla Uros where we visit around 30 to 40 minutes approximately. Then we continue to the Isla Taquile. Here we visit to the town, then we are arriving to Puno.

DAY 9 : PUNO / CUSCO Transfer to Puno city in a tourist transport The trip will last about 8 hours. On the way we’ll visit some places of interest like La Raya, Pucara, Raqchi and Andahuaylillas. Arrival to Cusco. Transfer at Hotel. Overnight.

DAY 10: CITY TOUR IN CUSCO We going to visit the following archaeological and religious attractions: The Cathedral.- Colonial religious monument with an extraordinary artistic value. Koricancha.- Religious Inca center best known as the “Temple of the Sun” stands out the impressive engineering used in this building. Sacsayhuaman.- Located at 3 Kms. from Cusco city is an impressive fortress of monumental stones and excelent architecture. Qenqo.- Ceremonial and ritual center where sacrificas were performed. PucaPucara.- Old “Tambo” surveillance post used along all Inka trails. Tambomachay.- At 7 Km. From Cusco city, ceremonial center to worship the water best known as the place of the waters.

DAY 11: SACRED VALLEY (FULL DAY) This day we’ll visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas starting with Pisaq ruins the indian market and the local church. Afterwards we will pass through Lamay and Calca villages, arriving at Urubamba where we’ll stop for lunch. After lunch we will continue with our trip to Ollantaytambo where you will appreciate the village typical streets, and will visit the impressive archaeological complex, its terraces and enjoy the wonderful view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Afterwards we’ll head towards to the village of Chinchero, so rich in culture and archaeology like Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. In this place we´ll can see how the people stained and woven garments. Return to Cusco city and Overnight.

DAY 12: CUSCO / MANU Very early in the morning departure from Cusco in one of our vehicles especially equiped for this trip. Will pass through interesting communities and andean valleys. At mid morning we’ll visit the Pre Inca tombs of Ninamarca better known as Chullpas then we’ll head to Paucartambo, typical colonial village of great importante in those days and that still preserves its flavor. Continuing with our trip we’ll climb to the Acjanacu pass at 3850 m.a.s.l. From this place we will start our descend through the cloud forest, a very rich area in species like the Bear with glasses, the rooster of the rocks, orchids, ferns, etc. Once in San Pedro we will visit the place where the rooster of the rocks gathers every morning and at noon to make interesting courtship dances. Then we will continue our trip until we arrive to Pilcopata where we will have our first night.
DAY 13: MANU After breakfast we’ll continue our bus trip across the high jungle arriving to the Atalaya quay, located at the high Madre de Dios river bank at 700msnm. From this place we will start our descend along the river in a outboard engine boat. In the river banks we will be able to observe a wide variety of birds species like herons, vultures, pelikans, etc. After a few hours we’ll arrive to Aguas Calientes were we will have the chance to take a nice hot bath. Past 1500 hours we’ll arrive to our lodge, settle there, have water supply and then start a hike of about one hour average and have the possibility to observe the impressive Tapirs in a salt lick, after this we will return to our lodge and enjoy our delicious dinner. Optional: This night is posible to stay overnight in a platform the middle of the jungle to wait for Tapirs to come over, if we can’t see them until 8pm.
DAY 14: MANU During the morning we’ll continue our trip aboard our boat down the river, after a few hours we’ll arrive to the Boca Manu village, we will make a stop here and then get to La Cocha de los Valles (Lake of the Valley), where we’ll board a catamaran to seek birds and fish piranhas, we will return to the village were we can buy some beers, continuing with our trip we will arrive to the Blanquillo private reservation where we will settle for the night in our comfortable lodge.
DAY 15: MANU Very early before breakfast using a camouflage hideout just in front of the Macaw claylike, a clay wall close to the river where different species of macaws and parrots land every morning to extract minerals necessary for there dietetic balance. Parakeets, Amazon parrots, parrots with blue head, will start an unforgettable wild life colourful sight and finally the fabulous macaws. Ending this everyday activity we’ll return to our campsite. During the afternoon we’ll have a walk arriving to Cocha Camungo (Lake Camungo), where we will find a 42 mts. metal tower from where we can appreciate the lake’s surface. At the lake shore we’ll board the catamaran for a ride paddling on the lake, past the day the guide will make an introduction to the caimans afterwards proceed to identify them and if possible capture one. Once in the campsite we will have deserved rest.
DAY 16: MANU / CUSCO After breakfast we’ll start the trip back up the river, once in Boca Manu we will board the plane for the flight back to Cusco, this flight will take two hours.

DAY 16: CUSCO/ AGUAS CALIENTES Early pick up and transfer to the train station. The trip will last about 4 hours. Arrival to Aguas Calientes. Hotel check in. Day free for different activities like a visit to the Aguas Calientes museum or enjoy a bath in the hot springs. Lunch. Overnight. NOTE.- Entrance fee to the hot springs and museum are not included.
DAY 17: AGUAS CALIENTES / MACHUPICCHU / AGUAS CALIENTES / CUSCO
This day we will climb in
a bus to the Machu picchu citadel for our day tour and visit its main
places, temples, shrines, premises and stairs
